Three pillars uphold Music Toronto’s vision for a dynamic and inclusive chamber music presence in the community we serve: Concerts that bring world-class performances to the stage, Artist Development programs that support the next generation of chamber musicians and Community Engagement and Education initiatives that deepen connections and broaden access. 

This holiday season, we invite you to help us “give the gift of music” by supporting our Community Engagement & Education Free Student Ticket initiative. We are on track to provide more than 400 free student tickets in the 2025–26 season.

To sustain this vital program, we aim to raise $20,000 by December 31. Since Giving Tuesday, we have already raised over $15,000, thanks in part to a very generous $11,000 gift from Chris Reed and Valerie Schweitzer, made in memory of longtime patrons Tom and Alina Schweitzer. 

Tom and Alina Schweitzer were devoted chamber-music lovers who attended Music Toronto concerts for many decades. They were proud members of the Music Toronto audience community. Chamber music was one of the great sustaining forces in their lives. We invite you to read the beautiful obituary that appeared in The Globe and Mail about Tom’s remarkable 101-year life.
